1. I've had it with these "fans" that don't even know the proper name of U2 songs.
  2. I'd be surprised if they put out a single now - or rather I hadn't expected it - but if they do I'll gladly take it

The only negative for U2, if they have any doubts about SOE release date, and they do release this now, it becomes another Invisible... scraps thrown to keep us happy...
I don't know if that's an inherently bad thing, though. Invisible had pretty decent radio play/positioning among U2's post-Atomic Bomb output, was played at all the shows of 2015, and generally seemed well-liked by most fans and critics. It's just a little bit 'adrift' because it's not really part of an album. Honestly, I think - with their long album schedule - U2 should release MORE stuff like Invisible. If there's a song that's definitely done and the album is still months (or years...) away, just put it out as a single. Even easier nowadays with iTunes downloads...

I wasn't saying it as if it were a bad thing... I just meant for the band, if they plan on it being the 1st single from SOE, and not just a standalone, they would want to have some firm dates in place...

Ahhh, alright. If they're rehearsing (at least...?) one song from SOE I would think they're aiming for an autumn release. Bono basically promised it'd be out this year at Christmas, but we all know how trustworthy he is. And of course, there were all the 2010 songs so we have a precedent for new songs-no release. But... I think SOE is probably almost ready.

Ahh... but if all those "reliable" South American sources are true and U2 is going to drop an announcement at the last minute (at this point) that they will doing JT in SA in the fall, surely they won't release SOE amidst TJT30 Tour....
  8. What is most people's expectations regarding the albums release now and a potential tour? I'm quite confident it will be out this year and that they'll tour it in 2018. Gives them time off between finishing this tour and starting the next one plus they'll maybe do the usual appearances on shows to promote the new material.

2018 tour is a go I would think . I herd sources saying they are planing to come back to Australia. I'm not sure if the stage will be the innocence set though
  10. I'm pretty sure the i+e tour will pick back up, probably next spring, and probably in Oceania or South America. I think SOE will be coming later this year.
