I Will Follow has always been in the opening 5 songs of pretty much every tour they have done. It would be refreshing for it to open the encore for example on this tour

  2. So far from the few days we have heard them rehearse. I can probably estimate that the majority of us would like to hear "A Sort Of Homecoming, Little Things / Sometimes" and "Ultraviolet" and given that they have been rehearsing these numbers multiple times I don't think it's too much to ask and expect of them playing these on this tour.

These next few days will be crucial, if we are still hearing these three tracks in rehearsals then it's time to start getting VERY excited

I think if they relied too much on TJT+big hits they know they'd get a lot of flak from fans. That's why they're digging up relative rarities like ASOH and UV, reworking NYD (and presumably making it a regular fixture for the first time since Elevation) and BD, and rehearsing something new. I also think there will be a few more surprises - either right out of the gates or as the tour progresses - that they've been working on in secret.

Additionally, I'm pretty sure the set will be like the 360 tour, 23-25 or even 26 songs per night. I can't really see them doing only 20 or 21 (did they ever on 360? It seems like they always did 23 or more), and the rehearsals to me sound like they don't quite have a set opener or closer yet, but mainly the 'core'. Maybe the rotation will be at the starts and ends, with the core of the main set being '80s classics > TJT > post-JT favourites'. I just have no idea what to expect! How exciting that is...

I personally would love NYD to be a permanent feature in the setlist. Does BC Place have a curfew? Maybe if we find out what time they are due to start after Mumford and Sons and gauge that with the curfew of the stadium that will give us our answer? They have to play more than 21 songs, that'll be over in a flash!!

I'd always hoped they'd go down the Springsteen road and do 3 or 4 hour shows.

But alas I don't think they ever will go much past 150 minutes, let's hope we can get somewhere around that for TJT30.

During one of the Elevation rehearsal sessions Bono offers some quite insightful remarks about show lengths and progressive rock. It obviously takes it out of him a bit, probably as unlike some other rock stars who just go through the motions, he gets inside every song, and gives it 100% + every time, even when theres nothing left to give (Sarajevo 97, Amsterdam 89 spring to mind).

I definitely think they could do a 3/4 hour show, and if this tour had stuck to it's original 10 show plan then maybe they could have done just that.

And no disrespect to the boss, but Bono is more of a singer not a shouter, as much as I do like Bruce and what he's done. Bono puts his heart and soul into every performance and if he's having an off night it does affect the entire band

It would be nice for sure, but you have to ask why have they not done it already down all these years? I don't think it's something they want to do, otherwise they would have just done it already. Maybe they will see things differently in the coming years as they know the end nears and want to squeeze all they can out of the experience, but honestly I don't think they ever will go much past 150m.

I wouldn't say Bruce doesn't put heart into every song because I think he could be one of the most passionate of all time. Saying that I agree with that you said about Bono but Bruce and him are on the same level in that regard.
  8. Streets (incomplete)
    Ultra Violet right now
  9. Ultra Violet (Light My Way) [Deep Sea Drilling Remix]
  10. They rehearsed something between SBS intro and UV, couldn't distinguish it.Volume was too low
