Have fun in Vancouver ! Hope you get there on time.
  2. They are just hoping for some free pizza
  3. mouthwatering!
  4. I won't queue overnight again in my life. I might be around the queue meeting friends, playing guitar, drinking beer, eating pizza brought by Bono... but not queuing. You end up being exhausted in first row, not enjoying the show because of the fatigue, and pissed because you're surrounded by people who got there by lunch time on the day of the show and still got your same position (even better sometimes if something goes south at gate opening).

    So no thanks

  6. Regarding this I am also happy that Croke Park doesn't allow overnight queuing, it will make things easier on show day and getting a good position shouldn't be too hard with just a couple of hours spent in the queue.

No queuing allowed prior to gates opening
No overnight / early queuing allowed before the concerts.

Anyway, Vancouver being the opening night was bound to have crazy queues, but I bet it's more relaxed in future shows. There will always be a core of 10-50 fans who will queue overnight but in the big scheme I think it should be feasible to get good GA sposts without spending too much time in the Q.

The way U2 have set this up there is absolutely no need to. Back on the original JT tour, it was a different story, a free for all once gates opened to floor. But now they have it almost down to a science...

In 2009 for show 1 on Friday I walked into Croker no earlier than 6pm and still got as close to the outer ring as maybe 5 meters. Dubs are so very laid back about the whole thing, most got into GA around 8pm with a pint of Guinness in their hands -- so I'm with you, Sergio. No queuing necessary

Back in 1987 in Rotterdam we were queuing from around 9.00 am.
Gates opened at around 16.00 and we ran for our lives to GA.
We were then told to sit down (really true!) on the field to wait quietly for the support act..... This workes for about 20 minutes and then people suddenly got up from the ground and ran to the front (no divided spaces on the field or 'red zones' or anything back in those days) We almost got squashed, but ended up about 5 or 6 'rows' from the stage.

That still happens quite often. Some things never change, no matter the artist, the decade or the country
