Elevation isn't BAD really (the IHeart Radio show had a very strong Elevation), it's just sooo tired out and would feel weird with this set. Vertigo, to me at least, never sounds tired and always gets the crowd going crazy, AND if it's paired up with something from Boy (I've always really liked Vertigo and IWF together) it'd sound perfectly at home.

    Just my two pennies.
    As much as I'm still not overly keen to hear vertigo I think the points your making are completely valid. Definitely a better track than elevation for me also.

  3. The thing about Seconds is it's a very simple stance. It's not really 'anti-', it's 'a message to the President!' It's more of a warning than an attack, so it's not too partisan - which is a good thing.

    We'll probably never see it again, sadly. I really love those 1985 versions...
  4. How many songs do we think they're going to rotate from night to night? I'm expecting them to have a pretty fixed setlist for the tour with 2nd nights maybe getting at most 2 different songs and at this stage it's anyone's guess as to which ones.

    I hope they are going to change it a lot more. The Joshua Tree songs are fixed. But hopefully they'll change the setlist more then usually...

  9. To me, that's what it should be all about. Just like back in 1987, when the only material you had was Boy-Joshua Tree...

    I'd die truly happy. But I'll be content with what I get anyway...

    But, like me, you're an old school U2 fan... So it will remain an fantasy, I'm afraid...

I'm not as fussy about only having JT and earlier songs but ideally I would have liked to see lesser played early songs like two hearts beat as one, twilight, an Cat Dubh/ into the heart, a day without me, wire, but if we're not getting them I'd rather have ultraviolet than say I will follow since I think it's a better song and again less played. Thats all in an ideal world I think the band playing TJT in order is them staying true to the theme, I guess we've all got our ideas of what direction the rest of the setlist should take but they're going to take us on maybe the most incredible live journey ever through the Joshua Tree, it would be hard to name a sequence of 11 songs live that beats it.
