  1. Hey Sergio, weren't you the one who gave us the post-of-month?

Well I'd say our treat this tour looks like:

Running To Stand Still (no performances in 12 years)
Red Hill Mining Town (no performances ever)
In God's Country (no "regular" performances in 28 years)
Trip Through Your Wires (no performances in 29½ years)
One Tree Hill (no "regular" performances in 28 years)
Exit (ni performances in 28 years)
    Mothers (rarely played overall)

You guys are starting to lose focus a little bit I'm afraid.

    What's up my friend?
  2. hahaha yes, thanks for bringing it up. That's the objective part of it.

But there's also a subjective part to it which includes the stage, the quality of the performances and, well, the songs that we still haven't heard...
  3. I only got dissapointed in the band once and that was when they took the VIP fans on stage.
  4. ^^somehow I know what you mean....
  5. Remy, are you there yet?
  6. it sounds good just so different in key...like a sadder version....if they keep it that way.
i like it! i think this tour is going to kick our ass in a good way.
  7. The opening night isn't generally a great one. Take a few shows to get into stride
  8. That's true.
From all the opening nights of tours, which one do you think has been the last truly great one? We had quite a good show in Barcelona 360 with neat surprises, but they fucked up One terribly. Edge fell from the stage the last tour...
I think the last opening night that went quite well logistically and musically was Elevation Miami. I still think that's one of the best bootlegs of the tour.
  9. Hey....What time is it in the world?

I hold Lakeland '92 and of course Dundee '83 close to my heart... The rest of the opening nights have been more or less dull for different reasons.

I have no doubt that what we'll hear in 10 hours will not represent the rest of the tour, but sadly we're human and we have opinions and having a first show plagued of problems or fuckups is not the best placeholder for further shows to come. We'll judge them according to what we hear tonight - that's why I said that I hope we're not too disappointed after tonight's show

I think that elevation Miami is an excellent bootleg as well and I'd say despite the hiccups you mentioned the performances on the 360 and I&E opening nights were generally good, not the best on the tour but not the worst either, in fact Bono started getting the lyrics muddled up to magnificent later on in the 360 tour on the second verse. I think they've realised a fair amount of rehearsing is required to get opening night to a good standard so I wouldn't be overly worried if I was attending tonight, let's hope we get a soundboard like Miami to compliment the show.
