    No, the green is misleading. It's a long 'mountain'-range that runs down the middle of northern England; often referred to as the 'spine of England'. It's not very high, only 800m at it's highest point, but some of it is very bleak and wild. Some good walking to be had.

    Of course, the mountains in the Lakes are higher and better
