Tour: Joshua Tree Tour 2017
Songs played: 23
Audio recordings: 6
Videos: 1

  1. Regarding bono's voice I understand he wasn't belting it out all the time but I think the comments about him conserving it for the tour is probably right, I also thought he did look a little tired but the guys 57 and it's the first night on tour. I can completely accept the constructive criticism but to go all out and slate the show is wrong in my view. Bono amazed me how well he sang RHMT there wasn't really any big mistakes ruining songs or anything. Not aiming this at the comments on here I think it's all been fair but I'm talking about the haters mentioned just wanting to rip into the band.

Imagine someone watching a 1987 WOWY then clicking on Vancouver 2017 WOWY. You would say the same. Although still an awesrome act, what we have today really is a shadow. It's all relative and it's a massive compliment to U2 to still be around and being the subject of these comments.

I wouldn't say it's a shadow its more maturity, listen to yellow when coldplay first started playing it, now watch it. It's not as good but that is to be expected ,

But it doesn't stop the Stadium from being full
  5. To add to my comment above I still believe it was a great opening night, that maybe doesn't mean perfect but I could easily listen to that show and I thought there was some really fantastic performances also.

I found new years day vocally underwhelming but most other songs were great,
  7. I think it's normal for Bono to be sounding a bit weaker at the start of the tour. Every tour since I can remember, during the first show, Bono has always sounded a bit weaker, hoarse, and reserved. Even during the 80 's it happened. He always sounds stronger/better as the tour progresses, that's usually quite normal for Bono.

    That's true
