  1. That proshot clip of Streets..... those visuals and the band under the tree at the start are epic... I am sure Bono will pick up a bit after a few shows.... probs all the reharsing last week didnt help. I reckon once they brush up the encore a bitand get rid of that synth in ASOH, things will be looking pretty decent.

    I think that maturity started on Elevation... it worked well though still lots of energy. I think Bono has been through a bit with the bike accident and all that soes seemed to have hit him pretty hard which is fair he aint younger and that was a big deal with all those injuries. I think his wardrobe would help this old perception a tonne though!

    Yea, as others said already - haters will hate, that is actually their problem, nobody elses. But when reading that comment, I just thought that during PopMart Bono was rather talking the lyrics, his voice was a shadow of his former self and got only better since then. And still, look at PopMart 20 years later - what a great tour, how I wish I would have seen it. Anyway - yes, Bono was playing it safe yesterday, I can understand it, he wants to find out what will this setlist do to his vocals rather than to overdo it on the first night and lose his voice. Plus from the videos I have seen, I think he played it safe on some songs, he souded very good or even excellent on othres. I am sure everybody in attendence had a blast, just like I will have when I see them again.
  5. Tonights show will be even better onward and upward....no 1st night jitters and we pray no delay getting people into ga.the band will not be rushed tonight.

    U2 matured a long long time ago. Bono is the only moderately weak link these days and in a band it's usually all eyes on the singer. He will improve over the next few shows but he could do with getting the technical side of his singing a little more on point. He still has good vocal capabilities but he just lacks control at times.

    Either way he is sounding nowhere near his worst.

    Things always seem better late haha I found this true for IE and even some of 360 Some of the vocal moments on that tour were pretty great esp towards the end there. For me thought its more the soal than the voice.
