Very powerful performance when framed in the context of honoring woman activists to me. Lowlight was Beautiful Day, somewhat strange coming from me.

I still think Ultra Violet lacks all energy it had on the 360 tour. No power in the verses like on the album or 360 version. Love the song but this one doesn't do it.
  3. This performance was incredibly refined compared to the 360 performances that were more loose. If I were to listen to recordings I might prefer the 360 versions, but I wouldn't call this performance a miss.

But regarding the whole experience of seeing the song performed live, I was much more moved tonight than I was during 360. Without question, tonight's performance was way more powerful than the performance I saw during 360.

I agree, everytime I hear it I think the high notes are coming but they ain't. 360 was 8 years ago.. So i guess things change.

  6. I like it. As long as Bono can control the vocal then this lower intensity version is nicer. Closer to the original and ZooTv performances.
  7. Nice U2 dedicated the show to Guus Van Hove and Helena Nuellett who died looking for the original Joshua Tree, Guus was the director of the dutch concert venue 013 in Tilburg at that time......
He died in the Joshua Tree National Park, so he and his girlfriend looked at the wrong spot sadly....
  8. Ugh, no wonder why U2 only plays the hits. The only new song in the tour, where they try something daring and new and people are already heading for the exit (as reported here by at least 1 person). I hope it returns instead of more Mysterious Ways, Vertigo, COBL, etc.
  9. City of Stars snippet was so cool! I didn't watch the show how did the do the CC dedication?
