    Best of luck
  5. god how bad are Ireland. Eddie needs to go
  6. sounds like a great win for England (though hopefully it will not mask the uselessness of Ashton). i'm downloading it now, was watching Leicester at the time beat Saracens 36-23. It hurts me to say it but Wales deserved to win, France were woeful
  7. Wales
  8. Ok, so the noise I'm making now and ever since final whistle is most closely resembled by the scream Bono gives at the beginning of Elevation at Slane '01.

    Oh Yes. Well done Wales
  9. Very nice game...just saw it on TV. Brilliant!
  10. And we were singing hymns and arias,
'Land of my Fathers', 'Ar hyd y nos'.

We finally beat the French at the Millennium Stadium!! and the Grand Slam is ours.

So what did everyone think of this years six nations?
*A great game between Italy and Scotland this afternoon.
*Ciprianie (sorry can't spell), seems a live wire, wilko must be brickin' it.
*I know everyone was saying the Scotland and England game was poor, but I thought Scotland played well, you dont often see them playing with that sort of urgency and applying so much pressure.
*Wales' defense, sealed the championship I reckon. They have really shone in that area.
    *Shame about Ireland this afternoon.
    *Italy have improved so much.
*Last time we saw Martyn Williams in a welsh jersey- very sad! but what an end to his career, the last try of the 2008 six nations which sealed the grand slam in front of a home crowd. Such a consistent player and a world class flanker. (I wonder if he is gonna take his recently released autobiography off the shelves and include a chapter or two more). Also Tom shanklin- very underated.
*I dont particularly follow the guinness premiership but it always seems that England select to play the stockiest of players (with the odd exception).
  11. Congratulations from Holland to Wales; you really were the best this 6 nations.

    Thank you

It was a good Championship. Not vintage, but enjoyable.

And it was our defence that sealed it; for sure.

Steve - where did you hear Williams is retiring? Haven't read that myself in the papers. Would be a shame for us. He is world-class.

    Honourable mentions for:-

Henson, Shanklin, R Jones, Byrne, S Williams, M Williams, Gough, Phillips, .... Gatland, Edwards, Howley (Wales)

    Cipriani, Noon (England)

Vincent Clerc (France - but only really for one game)

Patterson (Scotland) - my God, that kicking
