  1. Pre-ordered the vinyl Set, but consider cancelling it. I just got the Nick Cave Lovely Creatures Super Deluxe Edition and the book alone is worth the money. All those replica memorabilia things that are in there, great.
    Then I got the Beatles Sgt. Pepper Super Deluxe Box yesterday. It's about 110 Euro's. The four CDs are great, it's two CDs of session outtakes in pristine sound. Then there are two replica posters. And again, a wonderful book which I would pay 50 Euros for as a stand-alone release. Spend two hours yesterday evening reading it, and I haven't even read half of the essays contained. A wonderful release.

    Comparing these two sets with the new Joshua Tree release it's clear that these editions of The Joshua Tree are highly overpriced, considering that about half of the stuff has been released before.

    Think I'm gonna cancel.
    I deeply regret buying that overpriced IE Live in Paris Super Deluxe DVD, by the way.
  2. Forgot to mention that the Sgt. Pepper deluxe not only contains 4 CDs of Music, but a DVD and a BluRay with a documentary and a 5.1. mix and a high res Stereo mix among other goodies...

  4. I got the iTunes edition. I will maybe buy 4CD later on amazon.

    I already have the 20 year anniversary box. Only interested in the MSG cd...and the T-shirt of course (which they already shipped to me )
  6. I just cancelled my order for the vinyl deluxe box and the cd deluxe edition. Not enough value for quite a lot of money. I will have a look at it when after it's been released, if it's very, very beautifully made I might reconsider buying the vinyl.

    But they aren't , so I doubt I will.
  10. The 2 CD deluxe set and t-shirt at £25 looks best value
