You've got two GA for tonight again that you already spent money for...perhaps just try a different spot on the field not so close to the drunks?

Sorry, it's obviously your opinion and decision - I just can't imagine skipping a U2 show that I already bought tickets for! Maybe I just enjoyed my Chicago show too much and am looking forward to Cleveland on Saturday again!

And you should definitely rethink tonight... Have a feeling it will be the better set.
On my way home after I hit a third pothole on our lovely streets and I screamed "we gotta get the fuck out of NY!!"" It was a culmination of the whole night. I think you are right.

    Dang!

I'll say this. I went to see JT in full, and everything else was bonus, so I didn't really care how it flowed as a regular concert or whatever. JT was performed pretty damn well IMO, and that's what mattered most to me.

I think it's hard to compare it to a show like I&E because it's just a different kind of show. Agreed that many of those songs just feel stale, and I actually hate that Elevation is such a crowd please because it's one of my least favourite U2 songs. I thought Miss Sarajevo was okay, but I felt stupid when I told my brother excitedly "Bono sings opera in this song, wait for it" - and then..nope. I did enjoy Edge's guitar tone, but that's pretty much all I'd say for it. Great fucking song either way though.
I can't put my finger on it. Yes they sounded awesome. Yes I got to see songs I'd never thought I'd see. Something just didn't feel right.

This is my opinion so I won't defend my feelings to the u2 police on here but this was easily my least favorite u2 show. Amazing start but the second half of JT really drags especially in a stadium. Exit was the only song that made a strong case for a welcome return in future sets. RHMT sounded weird to me. MS was absolutely dreadful imo. And as much as BD, Elevation and Vertigo rocked the house, it just felt stale. I don't know how it happened but Elevation has become one of their most energetic live songs. It brought the house down. I must admit I absolutely hate stadium shows. It just brings out the worst in people especially leaving a parking lot. I'm also getting too old for ga. Not physically but mentally. Everyone around me had 2 beers in their hands and seemed more into getting drunk than dancing and enjoying the show. My patience for people is fading fast haha. Bono and the band sounded great and Bad is just breathtaking. It's just such a killer live song and should be in every set going forward until the end. I really feel this would have worked a lot better in an arena setting with a free flowing encore. I get the story / theme of the main set but the encore should have a free feeling, sort of like the bstage was during I&E. this show made me appreciate I&E even more as I swear it was their best tour since zoo tv. Glad I went but admittedly I'll be sacrificing my tickets and skipping tonight. They are GA so unfortunately they will be wasted, which I feel terrible about. Not because of the money but because it's a waste of a ticket. I'd recommend this tour to anyone but for me compared to everything else it just felt sub par.

I guess we all have very different opinions and am sorry you had a bad GA experience. For me its been the opposite completely. I was there last night for the last of the 4 shows I've been lucky enough to see live on this tour and during the show it struck me how sad I am this is my last show, because this is such an amazing tour - I could easily go night after night without getting bored and i could not say that before. There is an incredible vibe to this tour - and for those following online it is impossible to see or feel. The band is full of energy and having fun, the crowd is so into and sings along to even the less popular songs, and I cant find the words to describe how it is to see JT played through from start to end . And not to be forgotten, since U2 always makes it look easy is they are playing these songs flawlessly and full of passion, especially JT side 2.

At every show I hear people say that this is the best concert they've ever seen, period. I think the familiarity of the songs, - both JT and the sets before and after, the energy and passion of Bono, stage set up and the love for the band and vice versa make this truly unforgettable show. I truly think this will be their last stadium show and am so glad I was a part of it.

(Even spending 1.5 hours trying to leave the stadium last night did not dampen my enthusiasm)

I can't do it. I can't sit in 2 hours of traffic to get in. Then 3 hours to get out of the parking lot just to maybe see ASOH. It's just not worth it. I'm working today on 3 hours sleep and can't do it again tomorrow for this show. Once was enough and I'm sctually happy I got Bad last night. Ive seen MW and IWF dozens of times.
  6. I am actually enjoying this tour much more than I&E (I was at the first 2 Paris shows thats probably why). For the JT encore section, i still think it is a bit lame. Give Elevation & One a rest for fuck sakes. How about Desire to kick the encores off and close out with AIWIY/40.

That's awesome! I know I'm not in the majority which is great. I saw basically the same show 8 times at msg during I&E so I know the feeling. Each one was better than the last and as tired as I was, I was saddened when my run was over. I am forever grateful to have witnessed the show last night. Believe me.

Yes. Where the hell is AIWIY? Why is it a live rarity? I'll never understand
