1. I've never done it on a Mac before but apparently here's how you'd do it:

On Mac OS X, go to Utilities (in the Applications folder) and open Terminal, then run (for Firefox):

    * /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -safe-mode

Okay, I got this window that says:

Firefox is now running in Safe Mode, which temporarity disables your custom settings, themes and extentions. You can make some or all of these changes permanent:

    Disable add-ons
    Reset toobars and controls
    Reset bookmarks to Firefox defaults
Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults
    Restore default search engines.

I really don't care about extentions or bookmarks, should I just select them all?
  3. That's the normal message you'd get. If you're not worried say OK.
  4. Alright...here goes nothing!
  5. I don't get it. It's still doing the same thing, it's almost as if it's not totally finished posting my messages. The bottom left corner says "waiting on u2start.com..." and the bottom right shows the progress bar about halfway full. Oh, and the address bar for the browser reads:www.u2start.com/postreply/2716

I don't think I've seen that post reply bit when I post on my PC...

EDIT: Yeah, when I posted this message (from my PC) the "post reply" bit disappeared and it gave me a bit about "last post" in the address bar.
  6. Anyways, I've got to head to bed. Thanks again for your help Drew. If you think of anything, feel free to shoot me a PM. In the meantime, I'll stick to posting from my laptop!

    Thanks again!

Yeah that's what you'd see in the address bar. I'll do some more thinking tonight.

  10. need urgent help people...

I need a place upload a 50mb file. I don't want to use Rapidshare or places like that, as the person for whom I'm uploading this is gonna be downloading it from a public place...usually RS is useless in those palces.
I wanted to give her a direct link...but all free web hosting services seem to have limited file size rules (usually around 1mb)...I would prefer not to make it 50 parts

    Any suggestions?

    Savefile.com? Capped to 60MB I think...
  12. There should be an option in Netpumper Ali to add a download url. I won't be at my own computer until tomorrow so i'll double check it then for you.
