  2. I don't think there's anything wrong with him. Not sure he moved around that much more on the IE tour it's just that the area was much smaller so it looked as though he was. From what I've heard his voice is sounding pretty good on this tour. He seems to be wrapped up emotionally in the Joshua tree songs, but that's the kind of singer and character he is
  3. For what it's worth last night had an entirely different feel from the US shows I followed (albeit my Mixlr and YouTube only).

    Looking forward to tonight's show as well.

  5. Seemed on good form last night plenty of anecdotes , plenty of name checks - geldof , mcguinnes, Corbjin , Adams new baby ! Happy birthday to his daughter eve, a mention to his son Joshua, name check Morleigh etc etc

    A suspicion I had for a while is that U2 actually was forced to do this tour by LiveNation to make up for the delay of Songs of Experience. If that is the case, then it is natural for the band to play shorter sets and be on 99% rather than 100% during a show (or even pre-show). It just can make a very small difference.


    Remy, I think so too. But being this was a wise decision as U2 is reborn to a new legion of fans who are discovering the band today, presented to The Joshua Tree. I miss some B-sides that could be played rather than a post TJT retrospective.

    i don't think anyone forces U2 to do anything. U2 does what U2 wants.
  12. Bono said on stage yesterday they had re-signed with Island Records or something and was bogging up some British military guy for sorting the deal
    I get the impression they are under contractual obligation to deliver this tour hence the lazy / lack of thought into the set list
