The quality of the official ones has gone up again for sure - 2 of 3 I got I've noticed are Edun ones which are noticeably better quality and of course, a highly ethical purchase as well. I didn't get any from I+E, but the Wembley / Hampden 2009 360 t-shirts are two of the poorest quality concert t-shirts I've ever bought, flimsy, and just noticeably poor quality, my Popmart tour t-shirts have lasted better than the 360 ones.

Never managed to get any U2 Start ones ordered before the show, but I really like those, so am hoping to place an order soon ish.
Yeah, my Popmart one has been the best. Elevation pretty good too.

Original Joshua Tree one was poor quality but I saw a few originals on Sunday (all worn by ladies of a certain age so I guess they are more careful 1)
  2. Also another thing I really enjoyed about this weekend was Simple Minds 'New Gold Dream' album being played in its entirety over the PA before Noel, with some songs even getting several airings. Big SM fan down the years and NGD is SM's masterpiece.
  3. I don't know if this has been posted before....
    but it's kinda disappointing....

I'm flying to Rome in two days...I hope things will be better there....
(also in Amsterdam and Brussels.... )
  4. when you're in that crowd and the red light touches your face, NOTHING will be disappointing about it. I promise you that.
  5. The mixing desk is practically the back of GA. That's where I intended to be in Dublin. Hmmmm
  6. It will be different in Rome and Barcelona, as it will be dark earlier. In Amsterdam, the roof will be closed, which takes away some of the light. Anyway, wouldnt mind two more songs at the start, how about OOC and ASOH?
  7. Exactly! It doesn't matter where you are in the stadium, when it happens, it's sensational.
  8. Confused about what you are all going on about. Flew from Kenya for both gigs. Had an amazing time.

It was sold out. If the back of ga was empty them the rules I had loads of mates who would have come but couldn't get tickets.

    See you all in Dublin!
  9. What is the disappointment referring to ? The crowd or the light ?

I think there was still expensive seating tickets left for night 2 up until very late on. I checked for my dad, they were official on ticketmaster but I'm fairly certain GA was sold out. As for the other comments about the light I thought it would be a big deal but being there it really wasn't however I was in GA and pretty close to the front so band engagement was more important for me. If you were sitting in far away seats then you'd maybe be looking for it to be darker when Streets started I guess.
  11. Why did they play twickenham and not Wembley ? Was it a cost driven decision ?
