Huh? No Heroes? Wtf? I didn't expect them to change anything, since they, well they are U2. But dropping the one thing you changed (for better) during this whole tour, is just really weird.
First 8 songs were amazing (except for that awkward snippet in Bad) but people were pretty dead between Bullet and Happy Meal. a lot of them went for a beer after Bullet from GA and many people left during One...
Just got back from the show. Wow, what an experience to see a show in Dublin. Biggest crowd I've ever witnessed and they really were incredible, especially during the hype songs like Elevation and Vertigo...which were REALLY hype.
In the context of me being a U2 nerd and following all of the setlist changes online night in and night out... Yeah, it's a bit disappointing not to see ASOH and Little Things being the last song was SO LAME in person. I went to LA1 this year and ending it with IWF was great. Everyone goes home pumped up and happy. Little Things just leaves people going... That's it? I don't get why they don't just play one more.
All of that aside, so happy to have finally seen a show in Dublin. Yes there wasn't any real special sauce in the show itself, but the atmosphere around town was electric, the crowd was huge and amazing, and the band was solid as ever. Bono seemed extra loose with the hometown crowd, too.
Such a fun night and experience. Happy and lucky I got to attend this show - won't soon forget it!
