  1. That's including the cup though. Beer was £5.20, the cup was £2.

The more alarming cost was £3 for a Pepsi! 50p in Wilko's
  2. i like wine sorry. If you like me are a fan/atic you can't say always "oh supershow, what a music etc etc", you must be critic too. You all follow u2 since maybe 20 years , me since 37 ore more, i was in every tour almost for one date,in 1987 in rome for JT tour the original with pretenders and big audio dynamite. Do you like "boots" ? I love u2 but i'm not shamed and i don't need beer or alcohol . I only write my opinion, that's all. I don't think you like u2 for EVERYTHING, maybe you fear to write some truths. That's all.

Yes, that's OK but please stay on "Paris" topic.

Discussing prices for beverages at the venue is OK (and even if you like wine or beer, or both!), but discussing whether one has "fear to write some truths" (e.g., academic, alternate, sub-alternate, subaltern, or transcendental* ), should better be held at "general chat" or something.

*including (but not limited to): transcendental realism, idealism, and perspectivism.
  4. oh thanks for helping me , my opinions are in topic, because i wrote about setlists and yesterday night was the same again. About drinks ,oh well other fans wrote about beer and so on ,not me. I know my english is not ok, but i appreciate you lesson. Paris? no Miss Saraievo, no always more snippets, no Patti Smith again, no beginning the show when the sun is in the sky, better wait a little bit, less speeches of Bono, no words about Chester Bennington of Linkin' Park, i don't know if Bono said something about Bataclan 2015 and so on. Am i right in topic now? Bye
  5. For anyone who's wondering about queues at the stadium... only a handful of people here at gate U. Pretty much the same for the other west side gates.

Perfectly in - and on topic

I was listening to the mixlr last night and I really enjoyed hearing Patti Smith - 50% because it was a surprise, and 50% because I like Patti's voice. For the rest it was good fun playing Bongo at the set list party

I can't wait to hear the show for the first time live-live (someone said, "you've heard nothing yet until you feel it" - so I look forward to that).
  7. For anyone with a problem with the beer prices, bear (!) on mind that you are paying for the actual cup too, and you can bring that cup back later to get your 2€ worth, it's just a consignment. (And beers have always been pricey in France anyway, it's not a surprise that at such a big event there is a price raise).
  8. Go to concert & watch U2. Go to pub & drink beer. The amount of beer the people around me consumed yesterday was amazing and most of them never went to the toilet from 16.30. I don't know how they do it !!
  9. I agree. I've never understood why people go to a concert to drink or smoke weed.
If you really need to get wasted or stoned to enjoy the show you're doing it wrong
  10. I only bought one round but it was 7.50 a beer with the souvenir cup. Did they offer it without the cup?
  11. On the pitch, yes. But you could take the cup back at the end for a £2 refund (or collect them up off the floor and get refunded for your beers too).
