Bullet I was glad to see given a rest on the 360 tour and didn't like the megaphone on I&E but I like it nearer is original form on this tour but i wouldn't mind seeing it dropped on the next tour for something like gone or New York. WOWY we disagree on as I think it's one of the few u2 songs that should never be dropped and one of there best.
Gone would be great...all that heavy stuff from the Pop era ! WOWY will never be dropped, don't worry!

This show has been different though because of the monolithic block of JT in the middle it is not like the norrmal multiple build-ups to several peaks in a show.

It is basically JT with 2 bolt-ons so the other songs are discrete chunks without the narrative flow you tend to get in a U2 show linking it all.

I love the JT b-side section... so many treasures in there.

I definitely wouldn't mind them dropping SBS, WOWY, Pride, One, BD, Vertigo, Elevation, but those are the songs why casuals came for - they don't care for rarities what us, diehards would want... and sadly casuals are always in majority

They should announce small rarities tour in small venues and it will be said in advance that no hits will be played, co casuals would let it go and we could have time of our lives

Yeah Pop has been so under represented since after elevation tour really. I think we'll get at least one track from it on the E&I tour though maybe 2 if we're lucky. Likewise I love the JT b-side section, i don't think there's a bad track on the album. I love u2 and I've loved all there shows I've been to but I can't remember a section gripping me as much as RHMT onwards, in fact you could probably add RTSS to that too since I hadn't seen that in about 12 years and only once. I don't think emotionally u2 wil ever beat this tour for me but musically I'm excited about the next tour and new songs and also the prospect of Achtung Baby tour 2021.

as sad is also to see it pointed as a highlight after witnessed second side of Joshua, for example, and not by a "casual" (it is supposed)
I am one such person. It hits hard and the crowd loses their shit. That's what you want from a huge concert. Not a lot from the Joshua Tree delivers that yet the Joshua Tree attracts a lot of casual fans to whom the likes of Elevation and Vertigo excites more.

What I don't get with some of the newer ones (vertigo, elevation, beautiful day) is they managed to play great gigs prior to them being released so why couldn't they be left out now. In fact for the I&E tour in Glasgow they dropped sweetest thing and elevation for angel of Harlem and desire and the latter two got as good a reception, I'd take angel of Harlem as a tour regular over elevation every day of the week and it gets people singing too. We also got pride in place of SBS on the second night in brussels 360 and it was the only time SBS was dropped on the tour, I think it's a switch they should do more often. I'm not complaining though if we get all the regulars on the next tour but with 7or 8 hopefully more songs from SOE played then that's still great, again it's just personal preference.

those are not that new... well it's 13 or 17 years respectively since it was released! It's like you would call I will follow newer song during Zoo TV or Popmart

But you're right about SOE (and SOI too) songs... we need them as many as we can get!

Well true they're not new, but the newer of the regular songs. They don't need to be in the show for it to still be great is basically my point. And yeah I'd also like the SOI songs included in the next tour but I'm not getting my hopes up for that so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for as many SOE songs and I'll take everything else as a bonus.
  8. I like the newer songs like I Will Follow.

Yes, I agree with you. Songs on JT side 2 we will never hear them again, they were amazing. I should say keep Exit on every show. Play:
Drowning Man, OOC, Acrobat, Like a Song, Tick Tock, Gloria, EBW, ASOH, Heartland, Wake Up DM, Kite, Love IsBl, UnknCal, Love Comes Tumbling, Walk TTW too many to mention. But
the majority just wants those famous songs which we heard so many times. So I doubt it if they don't play them again. Will they exceed these (AMS) shows, this eurtour. We'll see. It's indoors so that's fantastic. And we'll see many new songs so...
They will come up with something spectecular hopefully in 2018. We'll see what this incredible band will play.
  10. that was great "setlist"... but it's kinda sad, we could have this fun, because he tells the same every show... still nostalgically remembering those spontaneous speeches...
