1. Anton Corbijn + vintage photo gear + Nevada deserts + black and white footage... It's hard to think the result would be much much different to TJT cover

I don't buy this explanation about Dave missing from the pics, to be honest. I can't remember where I read it but it felt like fib to me. How I wish the four of them were totally commited with the band in all regards...
  2. Ah right, that explains a lot. You'd think they'd just do it on another day with Dave there.I'm excited for the new album, is anyone seeing them live?

They are not coming to Europe so no, but if they will I will go.

Exactly. It's not like "our tour sub-manager couldn't make it today, excuse him"... It's Dave, it's a 25% of the band. They could should have postponed the photoshoot until he would make it. It sounded like bullshit and still does. Anyway, I'm excited as usual for their new material, and if they come around I'll go and see them of course (unless they only do a couple of expensive summer festivals as usual ).

It's hard to put into words, but there's just something about The Killers that screams "could have been", you know? I love them and their output, but it just seems like there was SO much potential early in their career, and through little moves like this that speak louder than words, their commitment to get to that place U2 were able to in the 80s somehow faded over the course of the 2000s.

    Yeah agreed
  7. Just to solidify a bit more that there's something odd going on, Dave only has songwriting credits for four songs on the upcoming album, and (I haven't seen it yet) he wasn't even playing lead guitar on their performances on Kimmel the other night (their other guitarist Ted was, Dave was playing rhythm).
  8. "odd" falls short

Seeing them in London in November. They are always great live. They played With or Without You at the o2 in 2012.
