Oh, I had seats, too, both nights, and I told you before. But nevermind, I honestly don't give a sh** anymore.
  2. When listening to the album in full it almost sounds robotic like

  3. They were his words, I'm fairly certain he meant in the anthemic sense. He mentioned it was quiet layered and he liked that about it. He sounded impressed but we'll have to wait and judge ourselves!

You can listen back to his show on todayfm.com. It's a two hour show and this discussion took place in the last 30 mins of it.

  4. I think it depends on the song tbh, like raised by Wolves and cedarwood road could have been a lot more raw on the album, but some songs do benefit from more production I feel. I reckon the Little Things will sound better on the album than it does live not that I've got any issue with the live version but I can see there will be room to fill it out more on SOE.

Yeah I don't think it means over produced in the way SOI was.... Maybe more big sound, lots of elements?
  6. Someone over on auto said Blackout reminds them of Electric Co. and Power out by Arcade Fire...
  7. u2's new song has a much better "hook" than Power Out, more power, more body imo.
  8. Getting very exciting, IDK if I should buy it on Xmas this year and have 2 weeks off here so I don't spoil it, best Xmas gift and if I hold out till that day I can crack open a beer and then finally listen in full, on my own
  9. Well thats a positive.... I am more of a Wake Up fan haha Thats a killer Arcade Fire tune.
  10. think it would be cool if u2 release also SOI and SOE as a double album after the release of SOE, two complementary halves of one concept (album).

and wouldn't it be amazing if they play the two albums integral as a whole live. just a few cities in a small venue..dream on, never gonna happen but it would be amazing..

The double album thing could happen in years to come. They would find a way to package it im sure with live extras and unreleased stuff. But if that were to happen I think it would be after they've stopped bringing out new albums. Playing them live in full though I couldn't see happening either.
