  1. You're implying that the studio version will be drastically different from the live version. I doubt the things I mentioned will change much.

    I'm not saying it's a bad song, nothing like that. Just saying it would be as good of a single choice as something like Acrobat would've been. Good song? Sure. Single-worthy? Not really.

    Great song. And imo Acrobat sorta stinks.
  3. It's a little OK, but not really very good.
  4. I feel like little things is U2's apporach to getting older. It is not a get up and dance tune, though it is perfect in its own way. I feel like they are finally accepting that they are aging, and they arent trying to conform as much as they previously were. Props to them.

    You can have a song that fits more as a single without "conforming" lol. City of Blinding Lights (since it was already brought up) is basically about Bono singing to his younger self as an older man. "Time won't take the boy out of this man". The Best Thing sounds like it's going to be a "dancey/poppy" tune, but it's about Ali.

    huh, didn't know it was about Ali. Maybe I'm just daft. Where'd you hear that?
  9. It was all over a few days-a week or so ago? Bono was quoted in the Irish times saying as much. Eamon Dunphy or someone (?) said to Bono "Ali is the best thing about you" and that inspired him to write the song.

  10. An apple event takes place on Sept 12. I wonder if Apple will invite u2 back to play again where they may have two new singles out by this date and maybe a possible secret early album release?
