Not the Blackout clip, but these supposed riffs that might be part of it. I don't know, I don't want to be that guy, I need to hear the whole song before I pass judgement. Someone here said that the clip they just released isn't even the most exciting part of the song - I hope that's true
I understand your point. The thing is, a lot of guitar parts from the Edge are basically just one or 2 notes really
EDIT: before people start arguing about it, look at this
  2. You're not wrong, but even a lot of the simpler ones have tons of personality, whether it's the type of tone he has on it, the notes he's chosen, etc. Again, gotta reserve judgement, and that fuzz tone in the instagram clip is just killer - but yeah, I'm not blown away by that clip. Probably feel the same about it so far as I did with Invisible - which is that it's fine. I have to remember that this isn't even the first single anyway, for all we know it's an album track that Bono just wanted out there with a cool video to boot. I'd love for them to explain this whole "Here's Blackout! First single comes out next week!" - I wonder if Blackout is even on SOE?

EDIT: Classic clip from a modern classic film

EDIT 2: Nevermind, it's stated as such on U2,com

Sure sure, I'm not here to argue with you about the fact that it's a riff or not, if it's good or not I was just hoping someone at the Gashouder could confirm he/she heard one of those parts.
  4. I'm hearing a little bit of EBTTRT in the guitar
  5. Very exciting news.
  6. Wish I didn't have class at 12 but I'm so damn pumped this sounds fantastic
  7. I know rumors say that the album is coming out on December but I think the album might come out in October or November at latest look at the albums between pop and Songs of Innocence. The first singles of the albums came out at least a few weeks to a month before the album dropped. Just a speculation in my head

I've been thinking the same thing. 3 months is a huge wait between a first single and an album..
