1. What I like about it is I stopped listening to it for a bit there (well about an hour ) and then I start going maybe it's not as good as I first thought playing it back in my head then I listen to it again and I realise it's still great.
  2. love that bass in the beginning before the 1st verse
  3. The glam stomp rhythm works well.

Looked a bit of a sausagefest at the recording of the video. I expect the video of the forthcoming single will redress the gender balance.

    2017 folks
  5. Just had a flashback to Jan 97 when Discotheque was on top of the pops for the first time... The Blackout should have opened POP.

Great track- better than vertigo, miracle and definitely better than boots.

    Really...
  9. I'd say it's better than The Miracle. The Miracle is guilty of those tiring "ooooohs" in the hook, it doesn't really do anything interesting rhythmically and the studio version sounds way too overdone. Live it was great, but still - there's a reason U2 aren't playing it right now alongside Vertigo, Beautiful Day, Elevation, etc.

Both are great, and it's still the first day, but I'd say The Blackout is already more fun and interesting to me, musically.
