1. Not bad for Facebook which isn't really as widely used anymore, and for U2's page that you have to look for to actually find the video. It's not like YouTube.
  2. Which begs the question, why isn't it on YouTube?
  3. Cos FB Got the rights
  4. Like Apple For SOI
  5. has any band released an album on YouTube?
  6. Doesn't Bono's investment firm have a large interest in FB?
  7. U2b
  8. I think there's a link between the wording in the description of the video and the fact that it's only on their facebook fanpage. It says "just for you". Coupled with the fact that it's not an official single, I wonder if they just wanted to put out a song they thought the fans would like, only to be circulated amongst fans? Obviously various sites picked up on it and reported it, but still, it's not on the radio, it's not an album release being promoted by mainstream media, etc.

  9. I don't.
I just hate that they leave songs unreleased, but as long as they're released as bonus tracks/b sides/whatever, I probably prefer that they make the album as compact as they see fit.

(Then there's the problem of trusting in their decision making ability to determine what qualifies as an album track and what doesn't, but that's a different issue)
