  1. Not disclosing a release date means there is no "delay" as such. As far as the industry and the general audience goes, December 1st is just the World AIDS Day - nothing more. The world outside a few thousand of us won't ever know there has been a delay in the release.
  2. Anyone who has followed this band from the start will know not to give a toss about what they say in interviews etc. Just either enjoy what they put out at any given time. If it's good then all the better. Us long time fans (1980+ here) know this all too well. Nothing new in their approach. Let us just hope it's not all rubbish. Thats all i ask. Anything better than Blackout pleeeeasssse!

    I was sincerely hoping something like this when we learnt about The Best Thing being mixed at the eleventh hour and in a "competition" between two teams of producers. It's just the same story each time with different words - this band tend to overthink everything to the maximum and that results in an extremely unefficient and slow work output, which eventually results in things like Invisible being released as a way to say "we're back" and then disappearing for seven months, or things like announcing you're going to publish the details for your new album together with its lead single, and then retreating from that statement.
    We might over analyse all this plus the story about the Best Thing is not 100% reliable.
  4. With Invisible they didn't state it was the lead single from Songs of Innocence, we did not even had a clue then what the album was called. Now its clearly stated TBT is the lead single from Songs of Experience. No backing out now, panick for nothing.

    This, and they've already said Blackout is on the album too.

    Can't see them doing all that after having shown a bunch of (supposedly) happy listeners at each JT show.

That is a little worrying to say the least, they've obviously made an effort to take that sentence out and with social media nowadays it's hardly a case of keeping it a surprise until Wednesday as we could all find the original sentence but I guess it could be keeping it a surprise until nearer the release date and they now don't want to announce it on Wednesday but nearer the 1st December, hopefully.

  8. Maybe they want to make them sepearate pieces of news instead? Best Thing Wednesday, album details the week after?
  9. I was sure you were already discussing this issue yesterday in here, but maybe it was just Twitter?

    I remember reading someone suggesting it also could mean they'd be considering to release earlier, so they don't have the details ready.

    Or they want to announce the album details in a different place, in an event or TV show or whatever, instead of just posting it on Facebook...

    No need to panic yet, IMHO...
