everyone is different and has a right to like or not like it. Don't think I've herd or read any body saying, it's really shit, its terrible, F***ing crap.
People simply said, not the best, not the greatest, over produced.

One man's trash in another man's treasure. This site is or at least should be about opinions. You say you have everything you need to know about me from one comment..

Really, it's the internet...i don't judge people on here for having a say.
I don't care that you dislike it, it's just annoying that you can't stop talking about the right to be negative
  2. In all honesty, I actually really like it.
It is poppy and does seem like a weird mix, things stitched together, etc. - but all that considered, sounds fresh, is supercatchy, feels great to listen to and will do what a single is intended to do for them - for once!

I'm missing the "save me from myself" line though - why would you cut that out?!

    Hope this is relevant enough
No offense to anyones children meant, but is children liking a song the standard now ?
  4. 4 comments.. Wouldn't really say thats can't stop talking
  5. I like it. If this will be the sound of the new album I might enjoy it. Far better than The Blackout Facebook release. I hope this the single edit and the album version will be longer. It reminds me a bit of the song Salome. But You're The Best Thing About Me is a better song. It's my favourite of the album so far.
  6. Yes - much prefer the Blackout. That said I was prepared to hate this song but I don't -if they want mainstream it could work. Problem is it is a bit of a throwaway song that probably took 1/2 hour to write (and 1000 hours to overproduce).
This song just will give the haters more ammunition sadly.

Frankly I would have preferred The Little Things as a single - it's not poppy and wouldn't have appealed widely to a radio crowd but is the best demonstration that they can still write awesome songs.
  7. Relevance? Children future of the world. U2 are the ones always talking relevance anyway lol

Agreed. I think the little things would have done alright for them.
  10. I'm surprised at some of the fans' reactions, but there ya go. I like The Best Thing, both single and video. Mines the same seam as Ordinary Love. I think that's Oliver Jeffers handwriting on the video.

Less keen on The Blackout, but I'm sticking to my Side Two Track 10 theory there.
