    More discerning audience

Like it. Always like covers done by decent artists with some respect to the source.
  2. Yup...I'm liking it. Looks like it's in a MLK doco.
  3. Great!! I think it's a great version!!
Thank You, Yeah, for the rapidshare link.
  4. Great version, he showed respect for both U2 and song itself. One of the best U2 covers ever I guess...

As long as covers are better than Pet Shop Boys and Where the streets have no name im okay with them.
  5. Very, very nice. He found something in Pride that not anyone could find, and reminded me about how good of a song it is!

If only U2 would stop playing it at every. single. concert, though... That kind of ruins my enjoyment of the song, since it probably isn't as good as Streets or One, which are also played at just about every. single. concert.
  6. GREAT !!!

CLICK HERE to watch an awesome in-studio performance of R&B singer John Legend covering Pride. It's a great slow piano version and the video is a mix of studio scenes where you can see John singing and playing the song, and video material of Martin Luther King.
I don't know if he did it for a compilation or a TV special or whatever...hope it'll be released on a single as B-side or something, I want it!

In my opinion it's a really gorgeous take on this great song (even the historical fact is corrected )...it goes under your skin, and will give you goosebumps. Really, really great!

Now the question is: can anyone rip the audio and make an MP3 of it ?

Other than the "oooh-ooohs" bits, which don't quite sound right, I think this is great. Only just got round to watching it on the official website, my God when he started singing the chorus I could feel shivers down my spine...(in a good way, mind lol)
  8. great version, liked it very much.
