    BD is both overplayed AND overrated.

  6. When we say "overrated", are we talking about overrated by the band, by the casual fan, or by the hardcore fan?

    I think results may vary depending on that question...
  8. Well, a couple of examples:

    Beautiful Day.

    Overrated by the casual fan? Yes.
    It's a big hit and it makes them cheer loudly when it starts playing live, probably it doesn't deserve that much attention.

    Overrated by the hardcore fan? No, it's not overrated. Almost nobody cares about it and many are tired of it. People could even argue that it's underrated among this group.

    Overrated by the band? I think so. They don't want to drop it from not even one set list, and it's always played in a prominent spot. It's their go-to uplifting song.

    Casual fan? No, I don't think they overrate MS. Probably they still can't even recognize it.
    Hardcore fan? No, it's a liked song, but not too much.
    The band? They kinda have played it a lot more and in more tours than one would've thought, so yes.

    Clearly not, they probably don't know it.
    Hardcore fan?
    IMHO that's the best track of AB, so I'd say not overrated... but who knows, maybe we actually are overrating it and we can't see it.
    The band?
    Obviously they're not overrating it.

    (Btw, I stand by my choice of ISHF... IMHO that song is overrated by everyone: many casuals know it and rate it even more than Streets; hardcore don't seem to get as tired of it as other songs just as overplayed as this one, like Pride or even BD; and the band, they keep on playing it even if it's on karaoke mode...)

  10. Beautiful Day was the runaway success in Song Survival (for it's album). We love it here.
