1. Yeaahhh not even top 100 in Belgium...
  2. I have not heard on Sydney radio AT ALL. Even though Triple M promoted day prior to release. (Unless I have just been really unlucky when the radio was on.)
  3. Someone I know told me today that they heard it on B105 here in Brisbane, which is a young persons, pop and electronic music station full of celebrity gossip and all that sort of thing. I can't remember if it is a stand alone station or part of a big syndicate on the east coast here like triple m is. But it'd be one of the top three biggest stations in Brisbane
  4. Happy that they played it last night, instead of waiting for them to play it perfect.
  5. Heard it on the local alternative station yesterday during their "new music" section. Sounded pretty refreshing compared to the usual repetitive shit they play, to be honest

  6. Worse, actually... Is like finishing the project several days in advance, show it to other teachers to see if it doesn't have any errors, and THEN the night before change it.

Either way I like the song, I hope it works out in the end.

    indeed , refreshing
  8. If there are a couple of songs on the new album like this but also songs where they go darker and perhaps let loose a bit... I could see the poppier ones fitting in well.
  9. Still think this is one of their worst songs they have done

I just want some meaningful U2 again....
  10. I like song but I don't like the mix. The bridge is also a bit abrupt. I am starting to wonder if they have tinkered too much with the song.

It has grown on me a bit more, but it feels like it could be even better than it is - like it feels unfinished. It actually reminds me of how EBW was when we first heard it during 360 tour which started a bit disjointed, but developed into one of their best songs. It's not that YTBTAM hasn't had enough time on it, but seems like Edge's last minute idea to have a different mix and rearrange parts of the song, does indeed give me the impression it needed more time to perfect from those changes.

I'm not hating the song, just feels like to me there is the ingredients for a potentially better song there overall.
  11. It's as bad if not worse than the blackout. both sound like the lyrics were written by a twelve year old who will make sure he loses that notebook in a few months time. It's time Bono stopped the ambulance chasing "this songs for the woman down the road who burnt her toast this morning" and decided whether he wants to be a rock star and concentrate on it or whether he really fancies being head of the UN which is surely the job he's touting for.

With respect, I'm not sure I understand what you mean at all. I disagree with your point about the lyrics being juvenile, but that aside, how does your comparison between a song "written for the woman down the road who burnt her toast this morning" and Bono running for head of the UN relate to Best Thing or Blackout?
