    On another forum, someone pointed out that one of the reasons for this could be that the band and its security knows what to expect already. In other words, there's not really a chance then that the person will freeze up and either say or do nothing, or grab Bono and have to be pulled off of him. 99% of the fans attending think it's a cute moment during the show, while the other ones realize they've seen her before and act however.

  4. it was by far the worst U2 show i've ever attended. in pretty much every way. the band's effort, the ultra politicization, the horrible sound (not their fault), and the lack of audience participation.

    Also, there's the story told several times already about Jimmy Fallon's troubled participation on stage, when Bono forgot about Fallon and just pulled the first person he saw...

    ...I honestly don't think Bono keeps track of which girl has gone before; he's performing, on the lights, barely can remember the lyrics of the song he's played hundreds of times and pulls someone up to the stage... I think he picks up just whoever is there that he finds "interesting" for whatever reason in that moment.
    If you're always up front, and you're attractive, chances are that you'll be pull up more than once.

    I don't think there's a conspiracy in there.

    Disagree. Bono knows all too well who is behind the rails and who he knows. He is “scouting” for this for the whole show and then during the song he knows where to look to find someone he saw earlier.

    If you pay close attention during the show all of the band members regularly make signs and faces to “familiar” fans up front. Have seen it plenty of times (eg being behind Sil one show where Bono and Adam kept making eye contact and pointing to her etc).

    I'm sorry to disagree but I need to back Remy 100% on this.

    Also, most of the people who got on stage to play some tune(s) in the past tour had previously agreed upon with security. A friend of mine tried to get pulled up on stage during many shows, then finally managed to do it in Barcelona after agreeing with Brian (Bono's security). The same with another friend who went and played bass a couple of days later, it wasn't by chance - it was previously agreed.
