Hahahhahaa I can't believe you've brought that back. Long live. Brings great memories from the 2015 setlist parties.

Then the new single... which, by comparison, sounded like a swing and a miss which was a vaguely charming run through of a half-finished song.
I do actually like the Kygo version more simply because it sounds like a fully realized track, even if it’s chasing after today’s sound at the expense of relevance.

This is a band that probably doesn't feel the need for the experimentation of the past and this is where they are now. Good catchy tunes with all the elements of U2. Not every song can be a Bad, one or a Mofo.
Let's embrace the song and the new album and just be glad that they are still producing new, fresh material. I love this band, flaws and all and can't wait for the album and tour.

It's not even hate for the song. Best Thing is what people here in the U.S. call "vanilla". It's like lukewarm water.
It doesn't even suck as GOYB to hate it. But I don't want to feel apathy or disinterest for a new song about my favorite band.
Bono already sang many times that Ali is "the sweetest thing". Now Bono is saying that Ali "is the best thing". It's not even original.

The preview video also showed U2 driving around the streets of New York. Probably all filmed around the Fallon performance days.
