1. This is gonna be a ballache by the look of it. If it aint broke, why fix it?
  2. I wouldn't say it was entirely immaculate in the first place, but I agree it could be problematic.

Taylor Swift has done something similar where by you do stuff on social media, buy copies of her new album to improve your chances of being able to buy a ticket

To date this only seems to have been used widely in the US- guess it's harder in Europe as we multiple different ticket vendors. I won't be playing this game, so could end up being the first tour I don't go to since 1993.

This has the stink of LiveNation all over it. It is brilliant for Taylor Swift and that demographic. They have time and nothing better to spend their allowances on. But for grown adults, it sucks. In concept, I get it... it deters scalps and touts, but when you punish your fans to curb the touts, who really wins?
  4. Jesus H Christ... I don't even have a facebook account.
I use Instagram to post pics of my kids for my friends, I'm on twitter to bitch about sports and politics, that's it.
I'm 46 years old with a job and 4 kids. I cant jump through social media hoops to see my favorite band.
(Yes, I see the irony of complaining about the above while posting on line... )

Ugh. And my wife and I were discussing doing GA or Red Zone for the first time on the next tour. Oh well.

I'm still gonna hold to the hope that this is just LiveNation general terms across the board and that the artist has final say... We'll see, I guess.

In my eyes, it kind of makes subscribing redundant if they do this... unless the gift is great, why pay if I'm going to have about the same odds as john q public?
  6. From my PoV - Having only done 2 tours, I&E and TJT30 - the process couldn't have been simpler for me, got the code, got the tickets, it just worked for me.

I would guess so, most changes are applied to batches of accounts one at a time instead of all at once.
  8. That makes sense.
  9. It's also not for all countries.
