it's Bono's voice killing it. His voice just does not suit the song any more.

Unless you can provide a reasonable explanation I shall ask Gerard to post pictures of his Bose after every one of your posts lol.

Funny Casper mentioned Pride....that's my argument against UTEOTW....Just like Pride, they haven't found a way to reinvent the song to make it sound different. To me, it sounds the same as when they first started playing it. Time to shelve both UTEOTW and Pride...

I didn't mind UTEOTW's every now and again status on the Vertigo Tour. I could live with that no problem. Pride needs to die though
  4. Love is Blindness, put that pearl back on track...

Ahhhh...strange, I think they have - although I think they shouldn't have lol. For me, the main difference since they first started playing UTEOTW is that Edge's guitar sounds so much more different - listening to Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires bootlegs from Vertigo, he sounds like he's dropped the gain big time, so now his guitar just sounds really tinny + delay, whereas previously there's been more kick in it, it sounds so much more rock'n'roll...I'm a bit sad that he dropped the phaser thing on the outro that he used during ZooTV though lol...

Do kinda agree about Pride though...

    EDIT -

I want to say yes, but I have reservations about Bono's voice were they to perform it again...

I think he could handle it. His slight spoken lyric version from Buenos Aires makes me think that he could bump up the vocals and belt it out once again
