1. I have not heard "Best Thing" or anything from this album on radio. Seems like Orlando is one of the worst places to be a U2 fan. Without remembering the tour history, my hometown of Tallahassee probably has as many U2 shows in history(1) as Orlando...but thankfully Tampa and Miami have had quite a few. But I am still excited either way. Can't wait...but would love the "alternative" or "Rock" stations to quit playing "I Still Haven't Found," or "Sunday Bloody Sunday" three times a day...but Radio hates new songs by old artists, so they just torture us with the Warhorses. "Pride" can be heard in Orlando in one day more than any songs from the last 3 albums combined over the last 2 years. Sad.
  2. In the last 30 days, Absolute Radio have played The Best Thing 44 times here in the UK. The 6th most played song over that period.

That's why I can't tell you the last time I listened to normal local radio... classic rock stations play the same shit every hour, even though classic rock artists have deep enough hits catalogs where a song shouldn't need to be repeated for weeks... Top 40, AC, Alternative... all bought and paid for by labels. That's how they chart artists. Hard to break a mold when stations are paid well to play the same 10 songs every hour on the hour...

Absolute radio is a great station, i don’t listen to the radio very much so not exactly an expert but it’s my favourite by far. They play stuff that other stations seem to be frightened of playing.

So, would that qualify it is a top 10?

Yes, in 2014 the radio station had a great acoustic session with Simple Minds. I saw it on you tube.

I reckon Japan would be worse
  9. Despite the unanticipatedly long wait for SOE, if it comes out this year it'll still be their quickest turnaround between albums since Achtung Baby to Zooropa - 24 years ago!

They've been slowing down for a lot longer than I usually think...
  10. I thought we'd be seeing/hearing Get Out of Your Own Way by now, since the clip looked to have a lot of Dia de los Muertos themes.

Maybe in the next few days?
