  2. Despite Volcano being my least favorite song on SOI, I am loving American Soul and can't wait to hear it live. It just rocks - something I've been missing from the other songs I've heard so far, including The Blackout, which sounded a lot better on the Facebook Live video.

    American Soul and Blackout are gonna kill it in concert. I hope American Soul gets some sort of combo with Volcano (I know it's not the most well-liked from SOI but I love it and I thought the live performances were good).

    Volcano is my least favorite from SoI too, but American Soul I'm liking.
  7. American Soul is better than Volcano, but I feel like the Glastonbury riff was still used best in Glastonbury. I don't mind that the riff is used again, but I'm not sure it fits. I like that they try to tie the two albums together with riffs though. Good idea that would have been amazingly cool is the album was released 6 months after SOI not three years.
  8. Depending on whether this is to become a staple or not, and where it's placed, I could see myself willingly opting out of seeing this next tour.

    I've opted out of seeing them since 2011. There hasn't been any new songs I really felt strong about since No Line. And the best songs on SOI they didn't play. American Soul is not good to my ears.

  12. Totally digging this one. Great lyrics and groove. Much more better than Volcano, which is a total throwaway
