Only heard 6 seconds so could be a rocker then...
  2. Here it is:
  3. So far based on what we’ve heard I’d put the tracks in this order

    1. Little Things
    2. GOOYOW
    3. Blackout
    4. Best Thing
    5. American Soul

Obviously need to hear studio version of Little Things but that’s my favourite to least favourite. Hoping for the rest of the album to split little things and GOOYOW, maybe a few between GOOYOW and Blackout, and would love another track at least on a par with little things.

    I can agree with this.
  5. From what I've heard so far, I can't say I'm blown away by brilliance. Can't see I'm very disappointed either. The Best Thing and GOOYOOW are fine songs and nice to hear, but they are a bit...generic. They're not brilliant, they won't be a part of anyone's U2 top 50. The Blackout and American Soul can both become killers live, but I'm a bit confused as why the Blackout's studio mix is so dull compared to the live version. That said, U2 has a tendency to release the more radio friendly stuff up front and keep the more brilliant stuff for later (like Troubles, California, EBW, almost all of NLOTH etc.) So, eagerly awaiting this release.
  6. Per Tower Records Japan, The Blackout (Jacknife Lee Remix) is a bonus track on the Japanese release of SOE. Thx @LanceASchart for the link.

Sums up my thoughts pretty much exactly. I’ll just add that Little Things has potential to enter into “classic” territory.

8 songs we get to look forward to still. I remain optimistic, too!
  8. Hey guys,

I preordered SOE in Universal UK Store (the one that U2.com directs to), but I didn't get any email confirmation, or actually any info at all. My purchase is only in "my account" section, and they blocked the money through PayPal.

Did any of you get some information through e-mail? (if you preordered of course)
