1. I all ready order from fnac not u2.com
  2. Bono took the advice, "write as if you were (brain) dead"

  3. It's not a place
This country is to me a sound
    Of drum and bass
You close your eyes to look around

    Look around
    Look around
    Look around
    It's a sound
    Look around
    Look around
    It's a sound

I like this part a lot. Great lyrics.
  4. I'm really digging this one.

It sounds more like Glastonbury than Volcano does. I have been singing "Can't let go of/this love of mine/" instead of the you and I are rock n' roll. And also "You are/a pocket full of sunshine"

I loved how Glastonbury rocked and was sad we didn't get a legit version but this is closer!
  5. Is it weird that the verses remind me of Native Son?
  6. Let it be unity, let it be community
For refugees like you and me
    A country to receive us
    Will you be my sanctuary
    Refu...Jesus

As a Christian who has been very much influenced by Bono’s connecting of his faith to social justice, this part is just fantastic.
  7. No, mainly because all those U2 rock (singles) songs from 2000 until now sound basicly the same Vertigo, Boots, Miracle, Elevation, this one. Lacks some creativity but it's fine I guess.

Truth is, I tend to sing "I don't wanna talk about wars between nations" during the verses
  9. the only song i like so far, and a little bit the blackout. What i don't like are Lamar,Lady Gaga , but The Haim yes we'll listen too the other songs and i hope they are more rock and more amazing songs. By the way SOI and SOE together make a concept , literature, history, religion, politics, families, origins, there is really much in lyrics to discover. And the show: rumours are really enthusiastic . Am i wrong?
  10. a bridge to far
