  1. Have had more time for the new material to sink in... honestly...this one seems to be topping the list little by little!

    Listening to it right after GOOYOW is also particularly enjoyable Then the Kendrick bit fits very nicely, and it's a nice transition from the more pop sound of GOOYOW to the more rock direction of American Soul. Enjoying it!

    and - reading posts here - I love how opinions differ! For me, the "You are rock & roll" bit of Volcano was the best part of that song and what made that song into one of my favourites in the album. Musically and especially thematically, that bridge was one of the top parts of SOI for me. Interesting to see so many people hated it!

    My feelings exactly! (Except American Soul being top of the new tracks - Blackout is still ahead for me)

  10. Like this one. Sill baffled by the recycled chorus and the collaboration adds nothing. Still a nice straightforward song.
  11. Anyone else particularly loving the “na na na na” choral arrangement on the bridge? That was my favorite part of Volcano - a Danger Mouse creation, if I recall correctly - and it’s back on American Soul, too, but slightly expanded and sounding even better.

    Also love Edge’s “brother John” parts before that big chorus riff kicks in.
