Their time isn’t up. Cmon. Even if the album is shit. As long as they’re alive and able to play music their time isn’t up. I’m honestly not a fan of any of the new stuff. It’s a little disappointing but I’d rather them keep writing stuff than becoming a Vegas residency act. There are a lot of older bands that don’t bother with new material and just tour the same old stuff. I’m sure these songs will sound better live. I hated the Joshua tree tour. It was the worst show I’ve seen from them in over 25 shows. It felt stale. I know I’m in the minority with that. I’m looking forward to the new tour and hopefully there will be more excitement from the band with the new material and the shows will be more like the tours im used to. I don’t think the new songs are shit, I just have no desire to go back and listen to them like I did with past albums. But again, this doesn’t bother me as much as it should because I’m happy they are active and I know the upcoming tour will be great. TJT confirmed to me that u2 are not comfortable or at the top of their Game as a nostalgia act.

I'm in agreement to be honest....just sullying their own legacy now

I can't comment on TJT as I never got a chance to see it, but I agree with your comment 100% about them turning into a nostalgia act, it's something I don't think they enjoyed. I can't help thinking they were forced into this by live nation to fulfill a contract agreement.
  4. My partner hates U2 .... I showed her the new songs, she loves them all.
    Everybody is different!
  5. After the first listening of Achtung Baby and POP I only like half of the songs...... on both records.
