  3. I think with the Kygo performance and that whole hookup - it probably wasn't intended, for the most part, for the likes of us diehards, hopefully that stuff is to follow soon enough.

    It's probably the band trying to reach out once again to the dance music crowd and stay 'relevant' [*hides*] to the younger audience. It worked in the early 1990's with the MW / EBTTRT remixes. You could barely go in a club back in 1991 through to about 1994 without one of those remixes getting a spin, and it probably attracted hoards of new fans as a consequence.

    Not sure how that whole episode on Saturday would have went down with the probable intended audience though. For me, not my particular cup of tea and it's far far far from U2's finest hour, but I wouldn't say it was utterly dreadful or anything.

    Personally, I'm just glad they're out there still and that the machine is getting cranked up for what could be another pretty good year of U2 music and touring.
  4. Kygo/ half U2 performance was revolutionary. My favorite performance of 2017. I loved how they did it, so cool! What can you say against it really?

    I know what you mean. Given that these ballots (eg blackout video) are supposed to be majority from the host city residents its funny the see the same people at every city. Sad but true.
