But the people of the Middle East think different and if we don't watch out it could be the beginning of WWIII

I know where you're coming from there, if a slightly melodramatic consequence...but I won't speak too soon because no one knows what the future holds - we should have faith in the future though, because it can bring bad shit but also bring forth much better things for us all

You're right, but is the same way how Adolf H. started: saying he hates jews
If this continous it can become Christ vs Allah. That would be a disaster.
  3. Well...as one of the very few muslims round here...I have to agree with yeah:

It's a collection of lies, assumptions and general bullshit made to provoke and to get attention.

that's what came to my mind after watching it as well. It's simply a bunch of lies, and stupid assumptions. It shows the guy has no idea what's he talking about...

As mentioned above, it's not worth it, not even worth paying attention to, so it doesn't really make me angry. But the attention it's receiving, that makes me sad. I'm a muslim and I love Islam and I really believe it to be the religion of peace...but many people (in the "western" countries) will see this and get fooled easily, thinking islam is violent...

Then again we have the reaction by muslims. Many of them will be angry, the ones in the middle east, I just hope they don't do anything stupid, and that this little "crisis" passes too.

He makes it look as if every muslim is a terrorist, but 99,99999% isn't.
There are as much christians who commit terror as muslims.
But he is only interested in muslims commiting terror.

See, not being funny, but I wish the media across the Western world would focus more on the vast majority, like Mark says, of Islamic followers who aren't terrorists? It's almost become a perverted stereotype and pisses me off immensely. Personally, I am of no faith but I just want everyone to get along the world over - obviously that's a very idealistic concept but if people would just accept that we're all different and that it's good to be different, it may go a long way. You're right though, about certain groups reacting badly, but unfortunately there are a lot of people, from many different faiths, who act first, think later based on what the media tell them and it usually ends in tears. No doubt some stupid sod is going to make it seem that this film represents the views of every Dutch person and that Holland -> Europe -> the rest of the world hates Islam, and people will react without thinking.

I don't wish to offend anyone in case it comes across as that, but for me, the real insane thing is that this Fitna thing is one of the biggest contradictions to have ever been released - the way I see it, he's essentially ripping apart the core beliefs of many of the major faiths the world over - please note if anyone thinks I've gone wrong somewhere, please let me know, I don't wish to offend anyone's belief. However, when you think that Judaism, Christianity and Islam all have a similar concept of God, and in that they share many of core beliefs and heritage (if you go back far enough to Abraham/Ibrahim)- and yet throughout history, some followers of each faith have been at each other's throats, and use this inherent similarity as a difference by which to justify their persecution of each other.

A lot of people could do far worse than listen to Bono -
