This. I actually wonder if they might be weaker live this time..... But I am going on the train wreck (IMO) of Best Thing and GOOYOW live so far. Little Things is great.

Plus Bono sounds great on this album (he did kind of on SOI though), which is probs lots of takes and bit of proaction. He sounded bad on Best Thing and GOOYOW live. The Little Things - esp the one from Seattle is amazing though. These songs I think suit his current voice, quite heady and kind of thin but it works for these tunes.

SOL must have a loud punch to the Bass otherwise it a'int gonna work.
  3. It's driving mad I haven't heard any of it. Looking forward to spinning the vinyl on Friday!

It’s definitely possible the songs could be weaker live, or they might even decide to give some songs a miss if they don’t feel they can do them justice live which would be a shame. I agree Bono’s voice is really shining on this album, they’ve really nailed it with SOE.
  5. Yeah the bass would definitely need to be filling that one out. Hope it’s played though.
  6. You’ve got better will power than most of us. I couldn’t resist an early listen. I think you’ll find it’s worth the wait though.
  7. Volcano Didn't work for me live. Although i was not at the live shows the Bass lacked from what i saw
  8. It didn’t seem particularly strong on the tour. I think the jools Holland version was probably the best which was a completely different scale of event.

Agreed. Liked the Holland one. Sucked in Boston and NYC
  12. I feel it sits somewhere around 5 or 6, which is pretty crazy considering we are over 40 years in 14 LP's later...... And SOI was at the bottom for me with October, might have gotten a tiny bit better after hearing Iris and CWR live. But SOE is so much better than SOI though.
