I don't think I could handle being able to listen to 20+ new U2 songs at the same time.

It would've been worth it, yes, but no way...it's already long enough between releases for me!
  3. It’s funny, I showed a buddy at work (musician) the pre-released songs (this was before the leak) and Best Thing was easily the one he thought was the best.
  4. And there are still not peoples ratings... just magazines

I still meet lots of people who still play a lot of U2 and listen to U2 regularly because of what they did with SOI. Sure, it didn't win them the popularity price but thanks to it they reached a lot more people. Maybe that's what's way more important.

I actually wrote something similar to that in my review tht is about to be published. I wish they'd owned up to it with pride (no pun intended). It was forward thinking, it got people buying their back catalogue and the tour was pretty successful.

I think that Bono's acciedent really hurt them here. They were set to do a week on Jimmy Fallon and who knows what else! (There was that Christmas show they had to cancel too wasn;t there?)
  6. The SOI released only pissed off the people who already disliked U2 anyway. It gained a shit ton of publicity for the band so I’ll side with it being more positive than negative.

I have this sort of rule where for about the first week I have t listen to the album in its entirety before I start picking songs to play. So right now they all have the same play count except for the singles we got before the album.
  8. Surprisingly good review in the guardian. I agree with the reviewer about Love is Bigger... My own least favourite track.
