1. wow,wot a challenge!!lets break it down, yeah bullet, big time, dont get me wrong, the fly,definiately,92-93,rather 01-05,hands down.let me throw a few in to the pot, rowenas theme, captive soundtrack, low key but amazing.acrobat, one of the best they have ever done!!full of atmosphere.lady with the spinning head(fly demo)whatever, still rates highly for me.but for me there is only one song where you hear how edge truly learnt his trade, early days-street mission.the solo is so raw its brutal i will never get tired of hearing that tune. i know this may disapoint alot of you,but when you admire/wish you could play like,an amazing guitarist like edge, this argument will just roll,on and on,and on.thank you this has been my two penneth, btw dont forget tick tock, sorry!!!!
  2. here's my top 10 in no order:

    Streets
    I Will Follow
    The Fly
    Vertigo
    The Electric Co.
    God Part II
    Bad
    Elevation
    Sunday Bloody Sunday
    Pride

Ha, 2 chords is all it takes for a great song I've found a lot of Edge's stuff is easy enough to mimick, but getting it to a) feel right and b) sound right is the hard bit.

As for actual parts, my favourites are UTEOTW, The Fly, I Will Follow, Dirty Day and WOWY, although Ultra-Violet is pretty cool too. And Streets...but I think the thing is, I prefer the stuff that I can get the right effect for/actually physically play lol, so with Streets, although I can play it, I can get the tone just right and therefore when trying to play, it sounds horrid lol (however, when I run my acoustic through the old effects pedal, stick the Wah on and kick off with the Fly, I'm lost in the groove )

Same goes with some of WOWY...doesn't help I'm trying to play lots of different stuff with the same guitar lol, but hell, music is first and foremost a thing to be enjoyed, and it keeps me happy lol...

PS - again, old topic, apologies...

Nope. But I didn't see much point in opening a new one which would then probably get redirected to old ones anyway, hence why I put "sorry for opening old topics" etc.

Apologies for bringing up old stuff, wasn't aware it was an offence of sorts.

    What's wrong with that?
That's the way to go, using existing topics instead of opening new ones for every random thought.
  7. Out of Control, Even Better Than The Real Thing, Streets

There is no offense in opening an old topic. In fact, that's what is preferred here instead of opening up a new topic on a whim. Keep it up.

  12. Electric Co.
    I Will Follow
Until the End of the World
    The Fly

P.S. If it re-ignites discussion, open as many old topics as you like for all I care.
