Hahaha oh man, that's BIG praise right there. Not sure if I feel humbled or plainly embarrased : But thanks anyway.

Many of these songs are growers though, give them their time, take one or two listens, then let'em rest for a few hours/couple of days, then come back and you'll see there's much more below that poppy, over-polished surface. Good luck
Dude I will not give up on this album until I listen at least 10 more times. Sometimes the best albums are growers.
  2. Crossing fingers for ya!
  3. And don’t be embarrassed haha. You are an excellent guitar player and singer. I only wished we lived closer so I can jam with you.

  4. Look what I got today
  5. U2 songs are almost always growers, but the shit thing with some U2 songs is that when you listen to them a couple of times you get sick of them. Both these catagories are on this album.... So choose wisely

I’ll tell you one thing. Little Things never really clicked with me until this morning during my first run through. It’s definitely a classic imo.

Little Things is one of these strange cases where most of the fans agreed that the studio version is superior to the live one. Surprising.
  8. Having digested the new album a bit, I’m now inclined to listen to SOI / SOE as one double album, to see how that affects my sense of it. Anyone else doing that?

except for the top of the climax which is better live, but yeah, overall it's better studio...
Other examples are EBW, Ground Beneath Her Feet or Ordinary Love...
