  2. Just made a stupid "U2 ranking system" up in my head. Anything over 70 is really good, anything over 80 is unusually good, anything over 90 is impossible to really explain how wonderful it is

  3. I've always felt that NLOTH is better as an album than as individual songs. It actually makes MOS tolerable never quite figured out why that song was so high on people's lists....

    MOS is a very good song on a so close to great album, but falls short as very good plus with me. To make NLOTH better, add Soon and Winter(without 1960's Star Trek Opera vocal at the end), and omit Unknown Caller, and you've got a great album.
    The hype u2.com, the band and either Eno or Lanois gave MOS was about as bombastic overhype I have heard from any artist or producer. Calling it "The best moment of my entire life in the studio" is like me saying the time I first heard The Three Sunrises was better than the first time I heard Where The Streets Have No Name.
