I’m not arguing just asking the question, if it’s thought it will put the site at risk then yes absolutely don’t allow links but I don’t understand the difference.

hmm, that was a very nice way to do it, actually.

Yes, we have had issues with copyrighted content before and we have decided to avoid it altogether. That's the same reason why you can't download New Year's Eve, Sydney '93 or Mexico '97 from our show pages, for example. There are copyright-less versions of those shows and still we can't offer them for download because they are kind of related to a copyright-protected official recording.
Thanks for your understanding![]()

No worries, in regards to South American shows question it was the vertigo tour shows that were broadcast from São Paulo and Buenos Aires, and the popmart chile show. I completely understand though, better safe than sorry if it can cause any issues.

Those were broadcast many years ago and by TV stations that are not as protective about their material as the BBC isBack in 2006 nobody monetized anything out of internet broadcasts so the TV stations didn't give a damn about us (or anyone) sharing copies of it. But nowadays every minute of broadcast material means more £€$ in ads and traffic, so every one of the big players make sure that their content resides under their wings, be it their own website or their Youtube channel.

Yeah that makes sense, I guess with YouTube it’s easy to get the audio anyway so not worth risking on here. Just another question regarding Glastonbury then did Remy or one of the team have to ask for permission to have it on here or was it just a case of making sure it was done legally?

is there any word on this being broadcast on BBC America?
