  1. The U2 part of this is alredy availible but heres the whole of the police part. As well as some details.


    June 11, 1986:


    The Police perform their last concert, a five-song set at an Amnesty International benefit in Atlanta. The Police handed U2 their instruments during this show. The instruments were passed after the closing Police set (who had reunited for the last 3 shows) to do Dylan's "I Shall Be Released" as the finale. Miles Copeland had insisted that U2 take second billing for the final and televised show, there was some tussle between him, Bill Graham and McGuiness; the instruments were a symbolic offering.

    I remember when Bono said that thing in U2 by U2. What a moment, my band Number1 and my band Number2 together in the same stage, sharing instruments... OMFG
