I hope for some more eastern Europe but I doubt it. Not enough money to be made for LiveNation $$$.
but wasn't Poland mentioned in the list of countries to get a presale code with a pre-ordered album?
If it's all about the money, I don't see why they are playing a small venue like Belfast. They skipped the city for almost 20 years, so I'm quite surprised to see it popping up again.
  2. I just wish somebody would consider those of us in the real world who love U2 but have families/kids,had Christmas to fund, and are 2 weeks away from our next payday!

You only get 24 hours to make all your plans, sort out which shows you want to go to, make plans with other fans, and organise to be available at the time the presale starts. If you are looking at traveling abroad like I am it's even more daunting.

So what you planning? A couple of cities? I'll be very dependant on dates, September is too early for me.

Belfast is cheap for them to go to. Eastern Europe is more expensive as they need to pay more to promoters and for logistics. They also negotiated with Prague but ended up being too expensive in promoter fees and such if I recall correctly.

Poland is indeed one of those countries but those countries were selected based on where Universal had a strong local presence.

  6. Cologne is pretty sure for opening yeah.
  7. For some reason I think Poland deserves a stadium show and not an arena.

The site whose name scaped you is Seatwave.

And yeah, "normal scalpers" (which are not really "normal", they use to have several computers, many credit cards, etc... but yeah, individuals) make a shitload of money out of concerts from the big names in industry. Quite easily 5K bucks out of buying 50-100 tickets for a certain show. Multiply that for a good number of shows in the year and there you got a quite profitable and execrable side job.
  9. On an different note, I think it's remarkable that the band and their satellites have managed to keep the list of shows under a secure lock until just hours from the announcement. If the announcement happens on Tuesday, by this time we would have known the precise dates and cities any other time. And here we are, still speculating with nothing really tangible, no real list of cities, etc. Well done
  10. I wonder what the prices of these gigs will be. Planning on going to all Glasgow if they play there and a few in Europe. Done Rome and Amsterdam last tour was awesome
  11. Has anyone had their ticket codes yet ?
