Anyone been to a Paris show, the i&e show filmed seemed to lack any real atmosphere and audience looked subdued, appreciate that could have just been a one off following the terrible terrorist attacks and the city and people were still healing, or is the paris audience generally more conservative than say an italian / German.

    U2 massive rock crowds in general are nowhere as crazy as they used to be. The fact that rock audiences are getting older with no or little generational change, and the plague of mobile phones are slowly killing the atmosphere that you could see in the 80s, 90s, early 00s DVDs of crowds jumping and bouncing up and down for most of the show. France is no exception to that, and there was also the "little issue" of 130 people being killed at a rock concert 2 weeks earlier, too.
